In 2015 Wolds Manufacturing contacted Universal as they wanted to fill a very high end and expensive range of Aftershave and Perfume. It was essential that they found a machine which would minimise waste, while ensuring accurate level fills for perfect “on the shelf” presentation.

The Solution:
We recommended our Vacufill semi-automatic vacuum level filling machine – a twin head machine with a small compact design ensuring fast and very accuracy level filling. The machine has a single overflow jar which collects any overfilled product, which can then be recycled.
As with all our vacuum level fillers, this machine ensures very accurate fills to the same level in the bottle every time, ensuring excellent “on the shelf” presentation. The inside tolerance of glass bottles can vary and if filled volumetrically, the difference in fill level stands out very clearly. This kind of presentation would not be acceptable, particularly with very high end aftershave and perfume products such as the type Wolds would be filling, which would be on display in luxury shops in London and other major cities around the world.
